Accessibility statement

We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to shop at GateDeal easily and independently.

Accessibility level

We adapted the site, as far as we were able, to the international W3C WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA. This also covers Israeli Standard 5568 (WCAG 2.0 level AA), required by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.

What we did

The whole site works with a keyboard, with a "skip to content" link and a clearly visible focus.
Pages are built for screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack: headings, page regions, form labels, text alternatives for images, and spoken messages for the cart and for errors.
Text and background colors meet the AA contrast level. Text can be enlarged up to 200% without losing content, and the layout adapts to phones and tablets.
The site respects the "reduce motion" setting of your device and has no flashing content.
Right-to-left languages are supported, and the language of the page and of untranslated text is marked.
An accessibility menu, the round button at the bottom of every page, lets you enlarge text, switch to high contrast or black and white, highlight links and headings, use a readable font, add text spacing, stop animations and use a large cursor. Your choices are saved in your browser.

Browsers and devices

The site is built to work in recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on computers and phones. It was checked with automatic accessibility tests and by hand.

Known limitations

Product titles, descriptions and photos come from our suppliers. Some photos have no detailed text description, and some product texts are translated automatically. If you need more details about a product, contact us and we will help.
